September 06, 2006 HALTON CLEAN AIR AND L&T TO RECYCLE USED FILTERSPress release, 6 Sept. 2006 Halton Clean Air and L&T to recycle used filters Halton Clean Air and Lassila & Tikanoja have concluded a co-operation contract on the reuse of used filters. All Halton Clean Air filters can be recycled for use in energy production via the L&T process. Recycling considerably reduces the amount of waste accumulating in landfills and brings savings in waste management costs to customers. According to Recycling Manager Kimmo Laaksonen of L&T, Halton is an excellent example of a company that has voluntarily assumed producer responsibility by taking into account the possibilities for reuse and recycling of their products already at the manufacturing and distribution stages. “Through our waste reception and collection chain extending throughout the entire country, we can serve both Halton and its customers in the best possible way,” says Laaksonen.
