HALTON KGS - DUCT SAFETY SYSTEM IS NOW HACCP CERTIFIED!

HACCP certification supports organisations that demonstrate food safety excellence in non-food products that are designed for, or commonly used in, the food industry.
Only products that are certified by HACCP International can carry the HACCP mark. The HACCP International mark is particularly aimed at those products that are required to be ‘food safe’ compliant, or HACCP approved in order to meet the food safety demands of their quality conscious customers.

Halton has been the first kitchen ventilation solutions manufacturer having its products HACCP certified. Our certificate has been renewed in March, 2012 (PE-567-HM-02I) and now includes the KGS system.

Halton’s KGS Duct Safety & Monitoring System belongs to the Halton High Performance Kitchen concept. It monitors grease film deposits and provides an alarm to suggest cleaning is required.

This system provides an objective method for determining cleaning intervals based on grease deposit levels consistent with NFPA-96 guidelines for cleaning or local regulations. The system also indicates if cleaning has been done to a satisfactory level.

What is HACCP?
HACCP international is a leading food science organisation specialising in the HACCP Food Safety Methodology and its application within the food and related non food industries. Its purpose is to identify and manage hazards, reducing the risks of food contamination events through the development, implementation and ongoing operation of comprehensive, HACCP based Food Safety Programmes.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is a risk management methodology used by the food and related industries for the control of food safety hazards to acceptable risk levels.
