Halton HIT Design - Content management project

Since Nina Tillaéus left Halton, we have been in trouble with updating product data into old HIT system. Nobody has had knowledge enough. Also lack of time between all the other tasks of persons in charge has been another excuse.

Halton Indoors has launched several new products at this spring - which is very good news of course!
At the same time we should have been capable to put new product data into HIT. We haven't been able to satisfy needs of Halton Sales and Customer Service, but we really hope that the work with new HIT design content management system proves to be much better than the old system. Originally the target of HIT content management development project was to simplify Halton's product brochure data management work.

Project of renewing the HIT content management proved to be more labourous than originally thought. Now we are very close to publish updated HIT content management. You are now able to download HIT test version to your computer. You may find instructions for downloading from the right column.
Now we would really appreciate that you look and find mistakes and inform us, if you find any missing data like pictures, formulas, tables etc. Please send all the feedback directly to Sanna Huotari. Sanna is leaving for her summer holiday 9th July and will be back to business at the beginning of August. After Sanna's holiday, all missing parts and comments will be looked through. Unfortunately there are still parts in the new content management, that needs some improvements and we are already working on them. We hope conservative estimation from all of you.

If everything goes fluently during following months, we can open the new updated product data to our customers at the end of August 2010. Just a small reminder; we are not publishing new HIT. We are only publishing our latest product data for our clients.

Product managers, designers and some named persons in CRU's will be taught to update HIT product data during September 2010. Teaching one person takes about 10 minutes, so the system is quite easy.

Changes in CDC & CHC product code:

AC = Accessories
EC Control for Elect. Heating should be removed.
The feature doesn't exist in SAP or in HIT configuration.

This product code has already been taken away from new HIT content management but it will still be in evidence for our customers.
