Sales Service / Project Manager – Germany
Maria started her career with on-the-job training at Wimböck (a company that Halton acquired in 2006) in 1978. The job came with a huge advantage – only 5 minutes to walk from home. After 7 years in the job and two daughters later Maria took a break to spend time with child’s education, family and boarding house. When the children started to go their own path, Maria decided to return to work life. She took advanced training courses to update herself and starteg working again at Wimböck, this time as an assistant of sales-manager. Now the focus was on products, technical solutions, calculation and of course – on customers. Very soon it was clear to her: “This is the job I love.” Step by step she got the possibility to climb the job ladder – sales, marketing, customer-service! In each department she collected knowledge and gained experience.
The process continued when Wimböck became part of Halton group: Halton trusted the former Wimböck-staff. Maria was appointed to th management team in Reit im Winkl. The team’s target was to make Halton RiW successful, both in superior products and financially. Over time this was achieved together as a very strong team.
Looking back Maria reflects: “I have had a wide range of duties and responsibilities – but to be honest – my favourite mission is to care for customer’s demands and to support local sales teams.”
For the future Maria believes that working with young colleagues and sharing knowledge and experiences makes Halton strong for the future.
