Halton becomes Millennium Technology Prize partner

Halton and Reco-Air’s strategic partnership provides new opportunities for restaurant businesses

Halton Group will manufacture a British company, Reco-Air's, patented air recirculation units under global licence. The idea is to integrate the solutions with Halton's comprehensive high-performance commercial kitchen systems. Along with the partnership, Halton will extend its offering to cover environments that do not allow the use of traditional kitchen ventilation solutions due to missing or restricted kitchen-based ventilation ducting for air exhaust extraction in the building, or where new ducting would be prohibitively expensive.

Halton Group expanding its factory operations in China

Halton has opened a new production unit of about 7,500 sq. meters close to their existing factory, with a floor area of 3,000 sq. meters, in the Lingang area, in Shanghai. The manufacture of Halton’s professional kitchen solutions such as kitchen hoods, ventilated ceilings and pollution control systems will transfer from the existing factory to the new one. The former will focus on the manufacture of solutions provided by Halton’s other business units for the Chinese and Asian markets, such as Halton Marine’s fire dampers and demisters and Halton Health’s laboratory solutions.

Halton and its partners opening a coworking space to promote wellbeing in London

The space in London’s famous Building Centre was created jointly by Halton, EDGE, Well FM, Helvar, Clivet, the Building Centre and Tieto Empathic Building, a human centric workspace concept developed by the Nordic IT company Tieto, bearing the joint project name The Wellbeing Experience. Halton’s contribution to the space consists of solutions which optimise indoor environment conditions based on user data and which enhance user wellbeing.

Halton Group acquired a Dutch company specialised in indoor air for professional kitchens

Halton Group has agreed to acquire the Dutch MIWO Luchtbehandelingstechniek B.V. that has solid experience in delivering turnkey indoor air solutions especially for chain restaurants in the Netherlands. The company is the second acquisition in the field for Halton during the past two years. The contract for the acquisition was signed on 12 June.
