Halton handed out a reward at the World Gourmet Summit 2018

The World Gourmet Summit is a culinary event held annually in Singapore. As part of the summit, Awards of Excellence has awarded over hundred F&B and hospitality professionals and establishments in Singapore and around the region during the past 18 years. This year's award winners were announced at a ceremony coinciding with commencement of the World Gourmet Summit on 3rd April 2018. Halton, as one of Awards of Excellence 2018 partners, represented by our Gunalan Ganesan, handed out the award for Executive Chef of the Year to Mr. Louis Tay from Swissotel Merchant Court.


"This year's AOE recipients show us why the F&B and hospitality industries continue to thrive. As we celebrate our home-grown talents, Singapore is showcasing itself not just as a global platform for industry trends and progress but an important center for learning and discovery," Said Mr. Peter Knipp, CEO of PKH Pte Ltd, which manages and curates the Awards of Excellence and the World Gourmet Summit.

World Gourmet Submit
The objective of the World Gourmet Summit is to showcase dining in Singapore and promote local chefs while featuring Michelin-starred chefs and vintners from around the world. The summit is arranged now for the 22nd time. This year's AOE was presented under the voting categories of Chef Awards, Hospitality Awards, Service Professionals and Establishment Awards and Wine and Spirits Awards, Special Category and Highest Honours.
