The company has officially commenced manufacturing at its new facility in Anderson, South Carolina, at the end of 2024. In addition, Halton MEI USA has achieved the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification, further solidifying its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Manufacturing Facility Now Operational in Anderson, South Carolina
Halton’s new manufacturing facility in Anderson, South Carolina, opened at the end of 2024, marking a key step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Americas. The facility is designed to meet the growing needs of Halton’s customers in the Marine, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors across North America. By establishing this local manufacturing hub, Halton is not only enhancing its customer service capabilities but also ensuring a more efficient and sustainable supply chain for its North American clients.
“This new facility allows us to better serve our customers with local production while continuing to drive global growth,” said Aulis Koivisto, Strategic Business Development Director at Halton. “Being closer to our customers enables us to add value in a more efficient way and enhances the overall customer experience.”
Halton’s new South Carolina plant aligns with its growth strategy, particularly as it supports clients during the green transition. The decision to build in Anderson reflects the company’s 30-year presence in North America and its strong commitment to sustainability. In addition to the Anderson facility, Halton operates other manufacturing locations in Kentucky, USA, and Mississauga, Canada, employing over 550 people across North America.

Halton chose Anderson for its dynamic business environment, skilled workforce, and supportive local authorities. The community’s commitment to sustainability played a crucial role in the decision. “The collaboration we’ve received from the local community, the Upstate Alliance, and Anderson County has been instrumental in making this project a reality,” said Koivisto. “Their support has been invaluable in ensuring a smooth and successful launch.”
Sam Monn, Head of the Business Unit for Halton in Anderson, emphasized the hard work and dedication of the team in preparing for the facility’s operations. “We’ve been actively recruiting local talent, setting up manufacturing capabilities, and ensuring that we meet all necessary regulatory certifications,” said Monn. “Thanks to our general contractor, Trehel Corporation, the facility infrastructure is up to the high standards we expect.”

In addition to the operational advancements at its new Anderson facility, Halton MEI USA is proud to announce that it has earned ISO 9001:2015 certification.
