In order to strengthen its operations in the Middle East, Halton recently opened a new office in Dubai, one of the most dynamic business hubs in the region. Halton’s office provides technical services and support to a wide range of customers across Middle East and North Africa.
The opening event was held on the 13th of May, and was attended by over 100 customers and partners. Welcoming speeches were given by Azzam Hunjul, head of Halton operations in the Middle East, and Mika Halttunen, the Chairman of the Board of Halton Group Ltd. Ilkka-Pekka Similä, the Finnish Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, congratulated Halton for its newest milestone, and commended the good relations between the UAE and Finland.
The office holds a staff of nearly 20 professionals at this stage, and is growing. Halton is considered one of the key players in the Middle East in its domain, and its business in the region continues to expand rapidly. Halton also has an office in Saudi Arabia. Some of Halton’s major projects in the area include for instance Burj Khalifa, which is the world’s tallest building, as well as Dubai mall.
The 2020 World Expo will be held in Dubai; this will further increase investments in infrastructure and tourism there.
“Dubai is an important business hub in the region, which is experiencing strong growth. Our new office in the Jebel Ali -district enables us to continue the strengthening of our customer service in this dynamic area”, states Mika Halttunen.
