Halton is proud to announce it is the first company in Kentucky to participate in TVA’s Green Flex program. Green Flex is a partnership program with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) that allows businesses to buy renewable energy certificates from wind power to offset their carbon output. Halton signed a Green Flex agreement to meet their sustainability goals.

Phil Meredith, Halton Americas Director, stated that “Contributing to helping the environment while simultaneously improving our business is a win-win.  Sustainability is written as one of Halton’s strategic cornerstones. We feel that the development of sustainable practices will boost Halton’s competitiveness and enhance our financial performance.”

In 2020, TVA worked with local power companies to redesign its renewable energy programs to help make green energy more accessible to local businesses.

As Halton is constantly increasing its global market reach, corporate responsibility issues and addressing them consistently have become ever more important. Global climate change is the biggest threat for humankind that we are facing. All responsible people and organizations have to act on issues mitigating climate change. Halton is not an exception, and we want to be among the pioneers in our field.
