Overview
The CBD‑01 Non‑Return Damper is designed to deliver reliable backflow prevention and high operating efficiency under arduous industrial conditions. It allows air to pass in one direction only, preventing reverse airflow when the system is shut down or operating at reduced pressure. The robust construction ensures consistent performance and long service life in demanding applications. The damper may be installed either vertically or horizontally, with airflow in the upward direction, providing flexibility for a wide range of ductwork configurations.
Key Features
Casing
The damper casing is formed from 3.0 mm thick sheet steel into a rigid channel section to ensure proper alignment of blades and shafts. The CBD-01 is available as a single unit, maximum size 1200mm x 2000mm, or as a multiple unit assembly, maximum size 2500mm x 2000mm. The insertion length is 200mm. Where circular dampers are required, additional spigot adaptors are used.
Blades
The blades are a formed single skin of 1.5 mm sheet steel and operate with a parallel linkage. They seal against a flame-retardant PVC strip attached to the blades and top and bottom stops.

Technical Specification
- Closed blade leakage Class 3 in accordance with EN 1751:2014 at ambient temperature
- Case leakage Class C in accordance with EN 1751:2014 at ambient temperature

- Damper certified to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. Any fitted actuators, switches, junction boxes or accessories must be separately ATEX-certified for the required hazardous area

Installation
Dampers are typically provided with integral drilled flanges that allow for bolting to ductwork, structural divisions, wall sleeves and similar. Flanges and drillings can be to Halton standard or customer specification.
Installation and maintenance instructions are provided with each damper delivery.
