Halton Marine had the privilege of designing and building a state-of-the-art Halton central vacuum cleaning system (CVC) for Scandic’s brand-new hotel, Scandic Grand Central Helsinki. The hotel is located in the historical Helsinki Central Railway Station, designed by architect Eliel Saarinen and built between 1909 and 1919. With nearly 500 air-conditioned rooms, stunning meeting and banquet facilities and a restaurant world, Scandic Grand Central Helsinki is one of the biggest and most unique hotels in Finland.

The CVC system enables vacuum-cleaning of all hotel rooms, corridors, reception, restaurant areas, Finnish sauna area, conference and event facilities, as well as the hotel’s thrilling banquet hall. Cleaning with the CVC system significantly improves indoor cleanliness and air quality: even the harmful micro-dust is removed from the building and does not remain indoors, causing allergic reactions and a feeling of irritation.
