Overview
The CBD‑02 Non-Return Damper is specifically designed to provide maximum shut‑off performance under back‑flow conditions, preventing reverse air movement when system pressure is lost or reversed. It permits airflow in one direction only, ensuring reliable protection of ventilation systems in demanding operating environments. The robust design delivers dependable sealing and consistent operation over a long service life. The damper may be installed vertically or horizontally, with airflow in the upward direction, allowing flexibility to suit a wide range of ductwork arrangements.
Key Features
Casing
The damper casing is formed from 3.0 mm thick sheet steel into a rigid channel section to ensure proper alignment of blades and shafts. The CBD-02 is available as a single unit, maximum size 1200mm x 2500mm, or as a multiple unit assembly, maximum size 2450mm x 2500mm. The insertion length is 350mm. Where circular dampers are required, additional spigot adaptors are used.
Blades
The blades are a formed single skin of 1.5 mm sheet steel and operate with a parallel linkage. They seal against a flame-retardant PVC strip attached to the blades and top and bottom stops.
