Spirit of Adventure, the second new-build cruise ship for Saga Cruises, was delivered on September 29, 2020. Spirit of Adventure is described as a boutique luxury cruise ship that includes a range of world-class features, from a variety of speciality restaurants to spacious cabins with a private balcony as standard.
HVAC solutions can play a vital role on board

Halton Marine had the privilege to equip Spirit of Adventure with their HVAC solutions, including a range of energy-efficient galley hoods, reliable fire safety equipment, and cabin ventilation solution for silent cabin comfort.
Halton Marine galley hoods are designed for use in marine and offshore applications to remove contaminated air released by cooking equipment. The supplied galley hoods, KWH and KFM hoods, use Halton Capture Jet™ technology, which allows the hoods to operate with up to 30% lower exhaust airflow rates than traditional hoods. The KWH hoods were also equipped with both Water Wash technology and UV Capture Ray™ technology. Water Wash technology automatically washes down grease filters without the need for staff intervention, while The UV Capture Ray™ technology neutralises the grease released by the cooking appliances. These technologies significantly improve hygiene, fire safety and energy efficiency.
Halton Marine fire and gas dampers are designed to prevent the possible progression of fire and smoke via the ductwork to other areas of the ship. Halton Marine fire dampers represent the quality that has been recognised worldwide by the industry and classification societies. Halton Marine supplied FDB2 fire and gas dampers, the most widely sold marine fire and gas damper in the world, to the cruise ship.
The FCU fancoil unit is designed for air treatment and control specifically designed for silent cabin comfort with sophisticated air treatment and control.
