As a metal worker (m/f/d) specializing in structural engineering, you are responsible for the production and assembly of metallic structures:

  • Based on technical drawings and plans, you manufacture metal parts and assemble them into a completed structure.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and plans.
  • Selecting the appropriate materials and tools for the fabrication of metal components.
  • Cutting, bending, welding, drilling, and grinding metal parts.
  • Assembling individual parts into a finished structure
  • Checking the dimensional accuracy and quality of the manufactured parts.
  • Conducting repairs on existing metal structures.
  • • Adhering to safety regulations and quality standards throughout all work stages.

You work in workshops or on construction sites, depending on the project’s requirements. In this role, you can work both independently and as part of a team, depending on the project’s size. Manual dexterity, spatial imagination, and meticulous work are helpful qualities for this profession.
