Halton Marine’s innovative products contribute to safe and comfortable cruising on MSC World Europa

Halton Marine, one of the world’s leading suppliers of marine HVAC, has supplied its top-quality products for the MSC World Europa cruise ship. The ship began operating at the end of 2022 and is one of the largest and most environmentally advanced cruise ships in the world, featuring state-of-the-art amenities and eco-friendly features. Halton Marine’s products, including fire dampers, galley hoods, cabin units, and diffusers, contribute to the safety, comfort and sustainability of the ship’s operations.

MSC World Europa, owned and operated by MSC Cruises, is a luxurious cruise ship that can accommodate up to 6,762 passengers. It boasts numerous amenities, such as multiple restaurants, bars, swimming pools, a theatre, a spa, and a sports complex. The ship prioritizes the environment and sustainability with cutting-edge features, including the use of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as a cleaner alternative to traditional fuels and advanced waste management systems to reduce, recycle, and reuse all waste generated onboard. MSC World Europa offers a variety of itineraries throughout the Mediterranean Sea.

Halton Marine supplied energy-efficient products and solutions for MSC World Europa, which is committed to sustainable and eco-friendly operations. These products were specifically designed to meet the ship’s needs and provide a safe and comfortable environment for passengers and crew members.

Halton Marine supplied several fire dampers for MSC World Europa, including the FDA, FDB2, FDL, and FDK models. These fire dampers prevent the spread of fire and smoke through the ship’s ventilation system in case of an emergency, thus ensuring the safety of everyone on board.

For the ship’s food preparation areas, Halton Marine supplied KW3 and KWH galley hoods, along with KVM and KFM models. These hoods are designed to capture and filter cooking fumes and odours, and the KW3 and KWH models come equipped with advanced UV-light technology that efficiently destroys grease particles and minimizes grease build-up in the plenum and duct. This reduces the risk of fire and the need for expensive cleaning. The hoods operate effectively and efficiently, ensuring the safe functioning of the ship’s galleys.

Halton Marine’s HME, HMF, HMM, and HFR/M cabin units provide effective solutions for air distribution, sound attenuation, and temperature control in the ship’s cabins and other interior spaces. They ensure a comfortable environment for passengers and crew members by providing individual fresh supply airflow rates to each cabin, adapting to variations in supply ductwork pressure levels, and maintaining comfortable indoor air quality and temperature.

Finally, Halton Marine supplied JCC and DLQ diffusers and URH exhaust valves for MSC World Europa. These products offer effective solutions for air distribution and noise reduction throughout the ship, ensuring a comfortable and quiet indoor environment for all on board.
