Green hydrogen – fuel of the future

Green hydrogen is seen as a technology of the future with enormous potential to contribute to the global transition toward clean energy production and to achieve net zero emissions economies.

Green hydrogen is produced by water electrolysis using only renewable, CO2-free electricity sources, such as wind and solar power. According to experts, about 10 per cent of the world’s primary energy demand could be replaced with H2 by 2040, the majority of which could be produced from renewable sources.

As economies worldwide are taking steps towards net-zero objectives, Halton is ready to support the development of clean energy production and the overall progress toward net-zero objectives with its expertise and robust products.
