Halton publishes EPD of Chilled Beams

Halton has published its first EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) of the chilled beams Halton Rex RXP (four-way chilled beam), Halton Rex RE6 (ceiling-integrated beam), and Halton Rex REE (chilled beam for exposed installation).

Sustainability is one of the cornerstones of Halton’s strategy. We are making progress towards our goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2023. Halton’s major environmental impacts arise from the materials we use, from the energy we consume in our production, and from the energy our products consume during their lifecycle.

To demonstrate the carbon footprint of our products, we have published our first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) of chilled beams. An EPD is a document that demonstrates the environmental impacts of a product.

The documentation has been done in accordance with EN 15804+A2 and ISO 14025 / ISO 21930. The products covered by the EPD are manufactured in Kausala, Finland. The EPD document is available here.

Halton has also been granted a silver-level EcoVadis certificate, demonstrating our commitment to the environment, labour, human rights, ethics, and sustainability. EcoVadis is a sustainability rating system that builds on international standards such as the Global Reporting Index (GRI), ISO 26000 and the guiding principles of the Global Compact. At Halton, we see it as our responsibility to help to fullfil our customers’ sustainability goals by doing our part.
