The Technology to Products Foundation (Teknologiasta Tuotteiksi) has awarded this year’s grant of €30 000 to Nobody Engineering

November 18, 2024

The Technology to Products Foundation has awarded this year’s grant of €30 000 to Nobody Engineering. The company uses IoT devices and software robotics to integrate an autonomous data platform with traditional building automation systems and modern digital services. This enables a cost-effective solution without significant investment.

The award was presented at the Real Estate Annual Seminar in Tampere on 7 November 2024.

Nobody Engineering provides software solutions that enable the integration of older building automation systems with, for example, energy optimisation services without significant investment. The software robots developed by the company seamlessly integrate systems of different ages and reduce the need to upgrade old systems. This innovative solution enables real-time use of intelligent services without maintenance visits, while reducing the need for building demolition and renovation and the long-term carbon footprint. The solution delivers significant cost and time savings and supports environmental well-being – a win-win situation for all parties involved.

The Foundation’s Board of Trustees stated in its grant criteria that Nobody Engineering’s innovation will have a significant impact. The software solution will provide significant benefits and added value, particularly in the management of real estate and building automation systems. It will bring added value in terms of cost savings, operational efficiencies, environmental friendliness and increased long-term flexibility in property management. The software will also contribute to the development of digital solutions.

The award was received by Nobody Engineering CFO and co-founder Kari Ilkkala and CTO Mikko Rantanen at a ceremony on 7 November. The award was presented by Tero Viherlehto on behalf of the board of the Technology to Products Foundation.

The award-winning company was selected in cooperation with the Finnish Building Services Industries and Trade (Talteka), the Confederation of Finnish Construction Industries (Rakennusteollisuus RT), and Rakli. The decision on the winner was taken by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
