In 2012, the city opened its new central kitchen for a cost of € 4.4 million. Thus, from a surface of approximately 500 m², it goes now to 1 340 m² in total.
The new central kitchen in Tourcoing produces and manages the delivery of 5,000 meals a day but is able to climb to 7,000 meals per day. It provides daily school meals (nursery and primary) in 33 satellites in 2 homes, 3 nurseries, as well as elderly persons leaving at home.
