KEX – Exhaust Only Commercial Kitchen Hood
The KEX hood is an efficient kitchen ventilation hood that removes contaminated air and excess heat emitted by cooking equipment, helping to provide a comfortable and clean environment.
The front lip and side lip on the KEX exhaust hood is designed to improve capture efficiency by guiding rising heat, smoke, steam, and vapors into the hood’s intake area. Acting like a small air dam, it reduces spillage at the front edge by preventing contaminants from escaping into the kitchen. This enhanced capture
performance allows the hood to operate effectively at lower exhaust airflows, improving energy efficiency and reducing operating costs. In addition, the front lip helps protect the hood’s edge and provides a clean, finished appearance.
Key Benefits
Capture & Containment
The KEX’s extended front and side lips guide rising thermal plumes into the hood’s intake area, reducing spillage and improving overall capture efficiency. This design supports lower airflow rates, helping reduce operating costs while maintaining performance.
High‑Efficiency Grease Filtration
Halton KSA multi‑cyclone filters remove up to 95% of 10‑micron particles and are UL and NSF classified.
Long‑Life LED Lighting
Standard LED fixtures provide bright, energy‑efficient illumination with a 50,000‑hour life expectancy.
Easy Commissioning with T.A.B.™ Ports
Integrated Testing and Balancing ports allow accurate airflow measurement and simplified startup.
Durable Stainless Steel Construction
Constructed from 18‑gauge stainless steel with liquid‑tight welded joints and polished exposed welds for a clean, professional finish.
