Operating principle

Halton DFP/P
Air is supplied into the room via the ceiling diffuser face panel, creating a ceiling effect.
The air can be supplied in four different directions. The maximum temperature difference between supply air and room air depends on the number of directions used:
- 8 °C for 3 and 4 directions6 °C for 1 and 2 directions
- DFP/P can also be used for extract air and can be fitted with a filter.
The DFP/P can also be used for extraction and may include a filter.

Halton DFP-N
Air is supplied horizontally and vertically through the diffuser face panel.
The air pattern can be directed radially by manually rotating each nozzle.
The direction of the air jet does not affect the pressure drop or airflow rate.
The recommended maximum temperature difference between supply air and room air is -10 °C.

Halton DFP-J
The radial swirling horizontal air jet is supplied into the room through the diffuser’s profiled swirl vanes.
The recommended maximum temperature difference between supply air and room air is -12 °C.
The supply air velocity is reduced due to high induction.

Halton PFP Plenum
The Halton PFP balancing plenum distributes airflow by reducing air velocity.
Connection diameters 160, 200, 250 and 315 are available.
The circular duct connection is equipped with a rubber gasket.
Air is evenly distributed into the diffuser to ensure proper operation.
The airflow rate can be adjusted using the detachable MSM measurement and balancing module.

Commissioning
To enable airflow adjustment and measurement, connect the diffuser to a plenum equipped with an MSM module. The supply airflow rate is determined using the MSM airflow measurement and balancing module. Open the diffuser face panel and pass the tubes and control spindle through it. Close the diffuser face panel. Measure the pressure difference with a differential pressure manometer. The corresponding airflow rate is calculated using the formula below
Where:

| ∆Pm | Measured pressure difference (Pa) |
| k | Installation and duct connection diameter specific factor |
| Qv | Airflow rate (l/s) |
Adjust the airflow rate by rotating the MSM control spindle until the required value is reached. Lock the damper in this position with the knob. Open the diffuser face panel, return the tubes and control spindle into the plenum, and close the face panel.
k-factor for installations with different safety distances (D = duct diameter):
| D | >6D | min 3D |
| 160 | 19 | 22 |
| 200 | 28 | 32 |
| 250 | 49 | 51 |
Maintenance
Halton DFP-N
- Gently pull the diffuser face panel downwards and let it rotate on its hinges.
- Remove each nozzle by pressing the two locking tabs and pushing from the rear.
- Clean the nozzles and face panel with a damp cloth.
- Push the nozzles back into place on the face panel.
- Reinstall the face panel.
Halton DFP-J and Halton DFP-P
- Open the diffuser face panel and clean the parts with a damp cloth.
- Reinstall the face panel by pushing it until it clicks into place.
Halton PFP Plenum
- Remove the measurement and balancing module by gently pulling the rod. Do not pull the control spindle or measurement tubes.
- Clean the parts with a damp cloth; do not immerse them in water.
- Reinstall the measurement and balancing module by pushing the rod until it reaches the stop.
- Reinstall the face panel by pushing it until it clicks into place.
