For hygienic reasons, poor capture & containment and bad lighting, the existing hood was not suitable anymore.

After the success of our solutions from the previous year renovations, and the fact that the guests & staff of the tenants were so happy with the ventilation in their other restaurants we equipped, Halton was asked to renovate Appetito Ristorante Italiano as well.

This was also a challenge as these are old cabins in the mountains which have been converted into a restaurant and therefore very limited with ceiling height above the hood. Also, the client wanted to reuse the ventilation duct and existing installation.

Our Team managed successfully to meet the customers requirements offering an efficient capture of the exhaust hood.

What is Halton FireWatch?

Halton FireWatch is a 24/7 electronic fire warning system with data backup.
Halton FireWatch monitors hood plenum exhaust temperature. When an anomaly is detected, a local two-stage warning is initiated.

• Stage 1 – Visual warning is initiated – Flashing HCL light at hood and text warning on HMI touchscreen.
• Stage 2 – Visual warnings and audible warnings are initiated – Flashing HCL light at hood, text warning on touch screen and buzzer at touch screen if condition has not been addressed. Halton FireWatch Equipment Shut Down feature initiated. (Operator required approval).
