The LMU (Ludwig Maximilians Universität München) is a prestigious and traditional university in Germany. It combines outstanding research with a challenging range of courses. LMU looks back on a 550 year-long tradition.

The canteen of the LMU on Arcisstraße in Munich is operated by the Munich Student Union, with around 3,000 people eating there every day and enjoying their new canteen.

The LMU has chosen Halton Solutions for the ventilation of their cafeteria kitchen.

In this project, special attention was paid to the ground-level air supply

The fresh air in the cooking area is brought in with low impulses via a LVU (floor Low Velocity Unit for total or additional makeup air) so that the employees in the kitchen area are always in a fresh air lake.

The perfect working conditions are rounded off with the HCL lighting (Halton Skyline Culinary and Human Centric Light) and the exhaust air duct via a KCJ (Capture Jet™ ventilated ceiling with low velocity makeup air).
